kermit: "Ok, this is silly, really. I'm a muti million dollar amphibious icon and here I am sitting on your shoulders for...?"
ken: "Well, I could be standing on your shoulders you know..."
kermit: "My shoulders, uh? That would be different; now back to the lesson at hand or web-foot, I don't have any hands you know"
ken: "Yes, I knew that...thank you" (sarcastically)
kermit: "Ok smarty pants, give me one good reason why we can't travel faster than the speed of light."
ken: "Becuase we'd have to travel all the way in the dark!" (rolling on the floor)
kermit: (putting webbed foot over eyes and shaking head) "Amatures, sheesh!"
Well, obviously I'm a muppet fan; yes, have the movies and all. But really, this page is nothing more than an aside. It's here because after hours in front of a monitor, debugging out the bugs on this web site, I needed something different...and so voila!
Below you'll find a selection of science quotes I've discovered over the years of surfing. How I found funny quotes while surfing for astronomy related sites is another aside that perhaps I'll get around to "asiding" one day. Very funny story though! You see, It starts in California around San Francisco...
kermit: Another aside to the above aside that started off as an aside?
Ken: (looking at frog) SO, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO...umh...ah..ah...
1) "What happens if a big asteroid hits Earth? Judging from realistic simulations involving a sledge hammer and a common laboratory frog, we can assume it will be pretty bad." -David Barry
kermit: "That was suppose to be funny?"
ken: (silently shrugs shoulders)
kermit: "Geesh, humans!"
kermit: (peering through an empty jar) Hey! Where did all my expensive chemistry fluid go?
ken: (looking quickly and guiltly away from kermit) The scientfic term for that would be e-v-a-p-o-r-a-t-i-o-n! (snickering now)
kermit: (shaking head) "The english dictionary should define that as, evap´ora´tion - the catch-all excuse one gets when people forget to put the top back on." -waka-waka!
2) "Once you can accept the universe as matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing stripes with plaid comes easy." -Woody Allen
3) When people run around and around in circles we say they are crazy. When planets do it we say they are orbiting. -student's observation
ken: This page is still undergoing re-construction for the time being...
kermit: Think I would look ok in a hard hat?
