It's been one hundred million years since the red giant used up all it's available energy resources. Exhausted, the giant has cast off its outer layers, leaving behind a hot core at the center, the White Dwarf Star, it's surface buring at a furious 35,500 degrees kelvin and consuming everthing it must to survive just a while longer.
