"I am not a vegetarian because I love animals;
I am a vegetarian because I hate plants."
  — A. Whitney Brown

Hi, I'm Gail Bischoff. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. My childhood was filled with years of singing, dancing, acting and assisting in school plays and school assemblies. My exposure to music began as a baby, with dad playing piano and mom singing to his music.

After high school I began experimenting; playing piano by ear. During this time I moved to Berkeley, California and later to Sonoma County where I sang lead as well as back-up vocals in various local bands.

Years passed while I wrote poetry about my life experiences, knowing that I would someday put the words to music.

Not long ago, I lost several members of my family within years of each other, I was devastated. However, time and the healing process began and I soon found myself writing, playing keyboards and singing again. It was at this time that I wrote the song Since You Went Away, a song that kept me writing, giving life to my music's sound and style.

One might consider my music to be alternative as I write in many forms and styles: my new CD, Since You Went Away, presents my listeners with a nice selection of the varying styles and unique rhythms I give to my music. Each song reflects something from my past and the hurdles I've worked on, each full of hope and resolve.

My biggest musical influences have been Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, and Michael Jackson.

I would also like to introduce the other members of my band whom work hard at creating the sound and style of my music: Tony Rainier on guitars and Tom Bischoff on drums. Below you'll find a link to each of their biography page, with an introduction and a bit of personal background written by Tony and Tom.

Thank you so much for joining me on my web site.
