Hello, Tony Rainier here and welcome to our music site.
Well, I was born in Oakland, California and grew up in Davis, California. I recall that when I originally started out in music I wanted to be a drummer. However, my parents wouldn't allow a drum set in the house - too loud perhaps?

Well, undeterred and determined, I managed to teach myself how to play the drums and discovered that I not only had an ear for music but also the gift of dexterity. It wasn't long before I became a credible drummer and not too long thereafter that I had a desire to try another instrument, the guitar. So, putting my talents to work...viola! And I've been loving it ever since.

Of all the many rewards that music has given me I have to say that the appreciation by my fans is one of the most rewarding and enduring pluses of playing the "gig." Not only that, I'm always amazed (in addition to being both flattered and satisfied to be sure) when, at the end of a set, my friends and fans stop by for a few just to say 'thanks' for the music or that night's guitar work.

Some of the bands I've jammed with include The Scooters,
Blue Cheer, Pushups,
High Voltage (an AC/DC tribute band. Link is to a YouTube video of the band at Spanky's in Cotati, California), The Field,
Mother Ocean, Dream Machine and Nor Cal Country.
